Yuvraj Singh is one of the best allrounders to have played for India and the Men in Blue batter shattered too many records during his course in the international arena. To add more, the southpaw is one of the very few batters who went on to smash six sixes in an over in the shortest format of the game.

The former Indian cricketer turned 41 on December 12, Monday and wishes have been pouring in for the batter, on an incredible day. We decided to handpick five of his records that still remain unbroken to date and it is highly likely some of them might not be broken at all.

Here are the five unbroken records of Yuvraj:

1) Yuvraj Singh’s fastest fifty in T20I internationals

Yuvraj smashed six sixes against the English pacer Stuart Broad during the 20-20 World Cup 2007 edition and eventually went on to score a fifty of just 12 balls. 15 years have passed by since then and the record is yet to be broken in the international arena.

Yuvraj was breathing fire on the match and his war of words with Andrew Flintoff ignited the momentum further. India eventually went on to win the tournament post defeating Pakistan in the finals, courtesy of Joginder Sharma’s stupendous nerves.

2) Most Cricket’s governing body tournament finals

Yuvraj Singh is known for his ability to contribute with the bat and the ball as well. It was because of having players like him and a captain like MS Dhoni at the helm, India went on to play many knockout games in the World body’s multinational tournaments.

One of the unique records that Yuvraj boasts about is of playing most World event finals than any other player. To add more, the southpaw played in 7 finals in World events and the record is yet to be broken, although one could argue that it might never be broken at all.

3) Player of the Match in all 3 World event knockouts:

Before the Test trophy was introduced, there were only 3 Cricket’s governing body events and Yuvraj Singh did have a stupendous record in all 3 events’ knockout games. To add more, Yuvraj won Player of the Match awards in knockouts of the Champions Trophy, 50-over World Cup and the 20-20 World Cup as well.

This is one of the records that could be incredibly tough for any other player to break. The southpaw was eventually adjourned the Player of the Tournament award in the 2011 50-over World Cup hosted by India for his immense contribution with the bat and the ball as well.

4) Yuvraj Singh flaunts most ODI hundreds at Number 5

Yuvraj Singh is one of those batters known for coming lower down the order and still making incredible contributions with the bat, banking on his aggressive stance and style of play. Indian fans are yet to witness a player who could come up with flamboyant flicks and flawless timing, which baffles them to date. One of the very few players who came close to him was Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja at present.

Eventually, Yuvraj boasts 7 international hundreds batting at Number 5 and he went on to score 17 centuries in his entire career for team India with the best of 150. It remains to be seen if the record could be broken in the future, but as of now, it stays well with the Indian veteran.

5) Most hattricks in single Indian T20 League season

Yuvraj Singh was an active part of the Punjab franchise in the earlier stages of the Indian T20 League tournament, before making it to Pune in 2012. Eventually, the southpaw was at his peak during the 2009 edition of the tournament where he went on to pick two hattricks in the same season.

Eventually, the record still remains unbroken to date and his fans opined that it might not be broken at all, given taking one hattrick during the highly competitive season is a hectic task. Much to the delight of the Punjab fans, Yuvraj was also at his best with the bat during the 2009 edition.
