Former Indian batting all-rounder Suresh Raina announced his retirement from all forms of cricket earlier in the month of September. But still, the fans adore the former southpaw a lot for his contributions to international cricket. Currently, he is playing in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League.

He is a part of the team Deccan Gladiators along with some of the big names including the likes of Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell. Although, he got out on a duck only on the second ball. But he is keen on making a strong comeback with an effective knock in the competition ahead.

Notably, the Abu Dhabi T10 League is also featuring Pakistani players alongside the Indians in the sixth season. Meanwhile, Raina was seen meeting with the young Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan on Friday, the 25th of November. Both cricketers had a pic hugging together. This picture of Raina and Khan has now gone viral over social media.

Raina won’t be seen in the next edition of the Indian T20 League 2023 as he has retired from all forms of cricket. It is He currently runs a foundation which is named after his daughter and known as, “Gracia Raina Foundation. This organization voluntarily helps mothers and children to get fit on physical and mental grounds mostly in rural areas of the country.

His wife Priyanka Raina is actively involved in Raina’s business. Speaking about Raina’s involvement in cricket, he might be seen in a different role during the Indian T20 League.

Speaking of Raina’s first match in T10 League against Team Abu Dhabi,  Deccan Gladiators under the captaincy of Caribbean star Nicholas Pooran took on Team Abu Dhabi in the second and last match of the first day of the tournament. The gladiators decided to bat first after winning the toss. Riding on the captaincy knock of 77 runs off just 33 balls from Nicholas Pooran, Gladiators managed to post a massive total of 134 runs for the loss of six wickets in the 10 overs.

While chasing the target, Team Abu Dhabi could score only 99 runs for the loss of six wickets in the entire 10 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter James Vince ended up as the highest run-scorer for the team with his knock of 37 runs off 19 balls with four boundaries and two sixes. Eventually, Gladiators registered a win by 35 runs and skipper Pooran won the ‘player of the match award.
