Earlier in the day, MI Skipper won the toss and elected to field. Delhi's innings unfolded with a mix of dynamic performances and strategic gameplay, accumulating a total of 171 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Shafali Verma's early dismissal at just 1 run provided an initial setback for Delhi. However, Skipper Meg Lanning initiated the inning with a brisk knock of 31 runs at a strike rate of 124.00 before being caught by S. Sajana off Nat Sciver-Brunt. The highlight was Alice Capsey, who stabilised the inning with an impactful 75 runs off 55 deliveries.

The middle order further bolstered the team's total, with Jemimah Rodrigues contributing a rapid 42 runs at an impressive strike rate of 175.00. Marizanne Kapp's sturdy innings of 16 runs off nine balls, followed by an unbeaten 12 runs from Annabel Sutherland, added valuable runs to Delhi's total.
