The second season of the Women's Premier League T20 is scheduled to commence next week on Friday, February 23. The tournament will kick off with a match between last year's finalists Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals at the prestigious M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The 2024 Women's Premier League will feature five franchises vying for T20 supremacy. The upcoming season promises excitement with a fresh influx of talent joining established and promising squads.

The likes of youngsters such as Kashvee Gautam and Vrinda Dinesh, who were both part of the mini-auction for the tournament. Leading the Mumbai Indians will be India's Harmanpreet Kaur, who previously steered her team to victory in the inaugural edition in 2023, defeating the Delhi Capitals in the final. The scoreboards in the previous edition were largely dominated by Delhi and Mumbai. Delhi Capitals' batters Meg Lanning topped the run charts last year, while Hayley Matthews from Mumbai claimed the most wickets in the WPLT20 2024.

Moreover, there were some exciting news for cricket fans eagerly anticipating Women's Premier League match tickets. The official WPLT20 X handle has revealed that tickets for all Bengaluru venue matches in the 2024 season will be available starting at 11 am on February 17. Last year, the Indian Cricket Board unveiled the complete schedule for the tournament, confirming Bengaluru and Delhi as the primary host cities for the franchise competition's second season. The event will comprise 22 matches, running from February 23 to March 17, 2024. The Eliminator and the final will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on March 15 and 17, respectively. Additionally, Indian Cricket Board announced that all WPLT20 matches will commence at 7:30 PM IST.
