Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry will also be in focus to add an amazing international presence. It is a huge season for Royal Challengers Bangalore after their disastrous showing last year. Smriti Mandhana and her team will look to give their home fans plenty to cheer about when they take the field.

Ahead of the first game of the season, MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur spoke to the media. The veteran batter said “We used the facilities in Mumbai ahead of the WPL. We played a few practice games as well so that we could try some new combinations and the players too get a chance to work upon their game”

This year Mumbai Indians have just made a few additions and haven’t tampered with the team that won the title. Shabnim Ismail who is an amazing fast bowler has been added to the side as well.

Speaking about this Harmanpreet Kaur said “She is a great player and she has done well for her country and whichever leagues that she plays for. She brings in a lot of experience and she is someone who can bowl with good pace and that's what we have been looking for.”
