The FIFA World Cup 2022 hosted by Qatar is approaching the knockout stage and the top-ranked teams are toiling it hard against the lower-ranked ones as they are giving the former a tough time in the epic campaign. Concerning the first half, Mohammed Salisu opened the proceedings for the Black Stars and eventually produced the lead in the 24th minute. However, the Taegeuk Warriors, on the other hand, struggled to make a comeback in the first 45 minutes, despite creating opportunities. To add more to the half, Mohammed Kudus backed his teammate Salisu and eventually doubled the lead in the 34th minute.

South Korea, after getting off to a brilliant start, lost their momentum through the end of the first 45 minutes and eventually, the game turned out to be a poised one as both teams struggled hard and with Ghana thriving to keep their hopes of making it to the Round of 16 stages alive.

While many ruled out Ghana when they named their favourites to win the title, the Black Stars eventually managed to prove a point in the ongoing campaign and impressed the experts with their exceptional display of performances.

However, despite facing Ghana’s wrath, South Korea eventually managed to open their account on the back of a goal from Cho Gue-sung in the 58th minute and eventually, Gue-sung grabbed a brace and made a comeback for the team as he matched the lead in the 61st minute.

While many anticipated a draw, Kudus, who scored the second goal for the team, eventually scored his brace in the 68th minute and put South Korea on the back foot. It was Ghana who came out on top in the end and took home the 3 points, keeping their hopes of making it through alive.
