India and New Zealand played the second of the three-match ODI Series at Seddon Park in Hamilton.  Before this match, New Zealand was coming off with a convincing win by seven wickets in the first ODI against the men in blue. The hosts' skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first in the penultimate fixture of the series. Apart from this, one of the decisions taken by the stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Indian management drove angst among the cricket fans as they benched the star wicketkeeper-batter just after giving him a chance in one match.

Fans were in a state of anger and frustration over the Indian team management as they overlooked Sanju Samson despite his good form. On the other hand, the Indian team gave multiple chances to out-of-form Rishabh Pant.

Taking the extra mile, a few fans went on to support the Kerala batter in Qatar during the ongoing edition of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

“Lots of love from Qatar, we support you, Sanju Samson,” read a poster made by fans in one of the matches of the FIFA World Cup.

Here’s a look at how fans supported Sanju Samson during the FIFA World Cup 2022:

Speaking of the ongoing series between India and New Zealand, the second ODI of the series had been called off due to the rain after a play of 12.5 overs when India was playing on 89 runs for the loss of one wicket. Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill were there in the middle at the time when the rain stopped the play.

Now, India and New Zealand will play the last match of the series at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Wednesday, 30th of November.
