Shaheen Afridi is famous for his very potent left-arm pace bowling. He has done wonders with the new ball in hand. But in a recent video that is going viral on the internet, Afridi was seen bowling left-arm spin in a practice session.

The Australian team is on a historic tour to Pakistan. In the first test at Rawalpindi’s batting heaven, Afridi bowled 30 overs, picking up two wickets during Australia’s first innings. As the action shifts to Karachi for the second test, a video of Pakistan’s practice session in Karachi went viral. In the video, Pakistan’s star pacer, Shaheen Afridi is seen bowling left-arm spin in the nets. The fans noticed a lot of similarities in the pacer’s bowling action with Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. A large section of the followers believed that Afridi was imitating Jadeja.

Comments like – “Maybe Jadeja took the wrong flight from Mohali and landed in Karachi instead of Bengaluru” and “Shaheen’s bowling action in this clip is a carbon copy of Jadeja’s action”, were made by the fans in response to the viral clip.

While Afridi had an ordinary outing against the Australians in the first test, Jadeja dominated the first test against Sri Lankans in Mohali. Jadeja scored a magnificent 175 runs in India’s first innings. This was followed by nine wickets in the match by Jadeja. On the back of Jadeja’s performance, India defeated Sri Lanka by a huge margin of an innings and 222 runs.
