India faced off against New Zealand in the third ODI of the series on January 24, Tuesday, and won the game by 90 runs, after restricting the Kiwis to 295 who were chasing a target of 385. The Men in Blue put on the mammoth total on the board on the back of centuries from captain Rohit Sharma and opener Shubman Gill.
Following the win, the head coach Rahul Dravid and Gill came together to have a conversation about the game and a few generic ones. For the unversed, the dressing room in the Holkar stadium at Indore is named after Dravid and the young opener asked the former Indian cricketer about the same.
Opening up about the dressing room, Dravid said that it feels surreal, claiming that it feels nice to have played for India. Highlighting his talent, Dravid expressed his gratefulness for being blessed with the same which in turn helped him contribute to the country for a longer time than he might have expected.

You’re grateful for all the love: Rahul Dravid
As far as the match is concerned, despite Devon Conway’s heroic 138, the Kiwis fell short of the target on the back of three-fors from Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav. India would hope to carry on with the form in the T20I series slated on Friday and it would be a great opportunity for the Black Caps to give the Indian team the taste of their own medicine.
“It feels good. You’re grateful for all the love I’ve received over the years from so many people. It’s a privilege to play this sport in this country. The love you receive is phenomenal and I was lucky to have the talent to play cricket and was able to do it for a long time. I also feel a bit embarrassing at times as well. But you do feel very grateful,” Dravid said in the video as he opened up on the dressing room which is named after him. The Men in Blue, on the other hand, would leave no stone unturned to clinch the win on the upcoming series before heading on to the Tests against mighty Australia.
