The seventh edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is currently going on as 13 matches have already taken place. Currently, Dindigul Dragons are leading the table with six points in three games. Sai Sudharsan is leading the race of scoring the most runs with 247 runs in four matches, at an average of 82.33.

While Varun Chakravarthy is the highest wicket-taker till now with eight wickets in three matches. But, apart from these starts, some players have shown some great performances for their respective teams. However, those players failed to get a single game in IPL 2023 for their respective franchises.

Sandeep Warrier

This pacer was a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) as he replaced injured Jasprit Bumrah. However, Sandeep Warrier has already played for Team India in one T20I. In that game, he failed to take any wickets against New Zealand despite conceding 23 runs in three overs. But, in IPL 2023, he failed to play a single game for the five-time champions.

MI tried many domestic talents like Akash Madhwal and Nehal Wadhera. But, still, this pacer just warmed the bench. In the ongoing TNPL, he is playing for Nellai Super Kings (NRK). But, as of now, in four matches, he has failed to take any wickets. Hence, the NRK fans will hope for some wickets from him in the upcoming matches.

Sonu Yadav

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bought this pace-bowling all-rounder for INR 20 Lakhs for IPL 2023. But, Sonu Yadav did not get to play a single match for the franchise in the tournament. However, Sonu Yadav is also playing in the ongoing TNPL for NRK. In four matches, he has scored 76 runs, at an average of 19 and a strike rate of 122.58.

With the ball, he has taken five wickets, at an economy of 7.92. So, due to his all-round abilities, he has become an essential part of the team so far. RCB failed to make it to the playoffs after 14 games in the league stage. So, fans will hope to see him in action in the coming IPL season with some all-round performances.         

R Sai Kishore

This player had great contributions to the title-winning campaign for Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022. So, fans were hoping to see him with a more prominent role in the recently concluded IPL. But, GT did not consider him in a single game throughout the season. Now, in the ongoing TNPL, he is the skipper of IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans.

However, they have won only one game so far in three matches and standing in the sixth position at the table with two points in three games. With the ball, he has taken three wickets so far in three games, at an economy of 7.33. While with the bat, Sai has scored just one run in two innings.
