Bangalore haven’t won a single title in the history of the Indian T20 League. They have reached the playoffs on many occasions and played the final in the 2016 edition but are yet to hold the elusive trophy after playing 15 editions. Despite that, Bangalore is one of the most popular teams in the history of the cash-rich league.
Bangalore are known to be a franchise who were always studded with big names like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Anil Kumble, Virat Kohli, Shane Watson, etc. Despite not winning the title, they have a huge fan base and it was apparent on social media and on the field during the recently concluded edition of the Indian T20 League.
Bangalore didn’t play a single game at their home ground yet they received huge support at every venue they played. According to an official statement by Twitter India, Bangalore were the most tweeted about team across the season in Indian T20 League 2022. The Red and Black Army were followed by the likes of Chennai and Mumbai at the second and third position respectively.
