In the ten games he has played so far, David has scored 251 runs at an average of 41.83. Besides, he has finished many games for Multan, and has been brilliant in the middle-order. However, he has supposedly tested positive for the virus just before the first Qualifier.

After ending the group stage at the top of the points table, the Rizwan-led side are all set to take on Lahore Qalandars in the Qualifier 1. As David has been an integral part of the side, his absence in the XI will definitely be felt. Besides, Sultans have heavily relied on the aggressive batter's big shots towards the end of the innings.

However, Sultans have neither confirmed, nor denied the news of David testing positive. In the meanwhile, according to a report by Geo News, as many as four members from Peshawar Zalmi camp have tasted positive as well.

Ben Cutting, Usman Qadir, and Sohail Khan are three of them, the fourth being Zalmi's staff member Hashim Amla. Thus, this means that they have to isolate themselves for at least seven days. Although they will miss the eliminator, the three cricketers will be available for the final in case they qualify.

As for David, a statement from his franchise is awaited. If he is indeed positive for COVID-19, then he too will have to isolate himself. The first Qualifier is all set to take place on February 23 Wednesday, in Lahore.
