'ONE YEAR GONE AND KL RAHUL STILL CANNOT PLAY SHAH' - Fans lash out as KL Rahul fell prey to Naseem Shah only on four runs

India and Pakistan are playing against each other in the super-12 match of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Both teams are locking horns at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the flip of the coin and asked the men in green to bat first in this high-voltage encounter of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Batting first, the Pakistani team posted a total of 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target, the Indian opening pair of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul failed drastically and went back to the pavilion with a total score of only 10 runs.

Indian fans also went unhappy with this performance from KL Rahul in such a big game as he fell prey to young Pakistan pacer Naseem only on an individual score of 4 runs off 8 balls. Speaking of the match, senior batters Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood played brilliant half-century knocks for the men in green. Masood scored 52 runs off 42 balls whereas Iftikhar played a knock of 51 runs off 34 balls with two boundaries and four sixes to his name. On the back of these knocks, Babar’s men managed to put 159 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets.

Skipper Babar Azam and star batter Mohammed Rizwan failed to impress as they both fell prey to young Indian bowling sensation Arshdeep with only a total score of 15 runs.

While chasing the target, the Indian team is currently struggling after losing three wickets only on 22 runs in 5.3 overs. Top-order batters KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav have gone back to the pavilion. Haris Rauf has scalped two wickets alongside one wicket taken by Naseem Shah.
