Johnson Charles made the fastest century in Men's T20 in just 39 balls and contributed massively to the Windies' innings. However, the South African batsmen put up a clinical performance, led by Quinton de Kock, who smashed his way to a stunning century in just 44 balls.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first, hoping to set up a huge target for the Proteas. They got off to a blistering start, thanks to the explosive opening duo of Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles. They put on 96 runs in just 7.5 overs, with Charles smashing the South African bowlers all over the park. He made 118 in 46 balls, with 10 fours and 11 sixes. Kyle Mayers and Romario Shepherd also chipped in with valuable contributions to help the Windies post a massive total of 258 runs on the board.

The duo put on a 160-run partnership for the opening wicket, which set the foundation for a successful chase.

The rest of the South African batsmen chipped in with useful contributions, with Aiden Markram remaining not out at 38 off 21 balls. They chased down the mammoth total with four balls to spare, creating history and registering the biggest run chase in the history of T20I.
