Indian Premier League (IPL) has been the biggest cricket carnival for all fans as players get the opportunity to show their skills every year. Franchises come up with new ambitions every year. But, there is no shortage of surprises in this tournament. Currently, the 16th edition of IPL is going on and fans have enjoyed it so far tremendously.

Here are four Run Out attempts at the non-striker end in the history of IPL:

This incident took place during IPL 2023 in the 15th match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. In that clash, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batted first and scored 2012 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Skipper Faf du Plessis was the highest scorer with 79* runs. In reply, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were in trouble after losing five wickets for 105 runs.

But, Marcus Stoinis scored 65 runs off 30 balls while Nicholas Pooran scored 62 runs off 19 balls. In the end, LSG needed one runs off the last ball with one wicket in hand. On that delivery, Mohammed Siraj attempted to run out Ravi Bishnoi at the non-striker end. But, he missed it and later LSG won the match with the help of a bye run.

This incident took place in the eight-match of IPL 2023 when Punjab Kings (PBKS) locked horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR). PBKS batted first and scored 197 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. But, during that innings, Ravichandran Ashwin gave a warning to Shikhar Dhawan during the seventh over.

Before the fourth delivery, Ashwin had a pause, and seeing that, Dhawan quickly came back to the crease. The veteran spinner had a cheeky stare at the batter and fans loved it. Speaking of the match, RR managed only to score 192 runs and thus, PBKS won that game by five runs in Guwahati.

This incident took place during IPL 2020 in the 19th match at the Dubai International Stadium. Delhi Capitals (DC) locked horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). DC batted first and scored 196 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch came out as openers for RCB.

During the third over of the innings, Ravichandran Ashwin paused before bowling the fourth delivery as Finch was out of the crease. But, he warned him and did not run out of him. Before that season, DC coach, Ricky Ponting told the spinner to avoid such runouts. It seemed that Ashwin showed respect for the advice from the former Aussie skipper.

This incident took place during IPL 2019 in the fourth match in Jaipur. Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) took on Rajasthan Royals (RR). PBKS batted first and scored 184 runs for four wickets. In reply, Jos Buttler was in top form as it was looking like an easy chase for RR. But, Ravichandran Ashwin came up with a twist.

On the fifth delivery of the 12th over. Ashwin ran Buttler out at the non-striker end as he was out of the crease. The batter was not happy with such a dismissal and umpires also had a close look. Finally, they decided that Buttler had to go. Finally, RR won the game by 14 runs and the controversy set abuzz among fans.
