Nicholas Pooran played a gem of a knock against RCB on 10 April 2023 at the Chinnaswamy stadium in the ongoing IPL. He scored 62 runs off just 19 balls, including four fours and seven sixes. However, LSG won the match on the last delivery of the game and it was a heartbreaking loss for RCB in front of their home crowds.

After that loss, RCB fans were seen in tears and hence, many funny memes went viral on social media. Nicholas Pooran won the Player of the Match award for his blistering knock. Now, an image has gone viral where Pooran was seen sharing a meme to troll RCB on his official Instagram story. Seeing that, fans went crazy and reacted on social media.

Speaking of the match, RCB batted first and scored 212 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 61 runs off 44 balls. Along with him, Glenn Maxwell scored 59 runs off 29 balls while the skipper Faf du Plessis scored 79* runs off 46 balls. In reply, Marcus Stoinis scored 65 runs off 30 balls, including six fours and five sixes. Then, Nicholas Pooran smashed the fastest fifty in IPL 2023 in just 15 balls. Finally, he got out on 62 runs off 19 balls, including four fours and seven sixes. Finally, LSG held their nerves and won the game on the last ball with one wicket in hand.

After winning the Player of the Match award at the post-match presentation, Nicholas Pooran said: “This is for my wife and newborn. We needed to win that game. That partnership between Stoiny and KL was wonderful. Stoinis kept us in the game. We knew that in the back end of the game it gets easier. The wicket was really nice to bat on. It was all about cashing in and getting the execution right. My second ball went for a six so it put me in a nice position. I've been working really hard on my game. This is where I want to be. I spent the last couple of years frustrating myself trying to win games for my team. I'm in a really good space, I'm in a really good state of mind and I just want to enjoy cricket. Have fun, keep a smile and do what's needed for my team."
