Chennai vs Mumbai is generally called the "El Classico" of the Indian T20 league. As both the teams were battling it out against each other on Thursday, their clash grabbed the headlines. Thus, several former cricketers and fans went on to give their views on the game. As a matter of fact, many people took to Twitter to speak about the same during the match as well.

The first innings saw the Chennai fielders drop a lot of catches. Despite restricting Mumbai to a below-par total, the yellow army were sloppy on the field. Not only did their fielder drop absolute sitters, but even MS Dhoni missed a stumping. It shocked one and all as the legend is arguably one of the greatest keeper-batters of all time.

Besides, Chennai's captain Ravindra Jadeja dropped two catches as well. Thus, this was one of the major talking points of the first innings. Amit Mishra took to Twitter to draw light on the same. He gave a humorous analogy between Jadeja and Dhoni being sloppy on the field, and Shahid Afridi's batting.

"Jadeja dropping a catch and MSD missing a stumping is like Shahid Afridi batting sensibly with eyes open. No one can believe it happened." read Amit Mishra's Tweet. Hence, it instantly went viral as fans loved the comparison. They applauded the leggie's sense of humour.

 

Besides, Mishra has grabbed the headlines in the recent past for his witty Tweets. He has gone on write several funny Tweets during the ongoing Indian T20 league 2022. As far as the game between Chennai and Mumbai is concerned, the defending champions emerged victorious. They beat the five-time champions by three wickets.

Although Dhoni missed a stumping, he redeemed himself with the bat as he scored an unbeaten 28 from just 13 balls. In fact, he hit a four in the final ball of the second innings to see his team through. This was Jadeja's second win as a captain in the Indian T20 league. Due to this, Mumbai have now lost their first seven games of the 2022 edition. They are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table.
