Thus, the Bangalore-based franchise have a really balanced side this time around. So can the new era enable the franchise to win their maiden title? Today, we shall be taking a look at five reasons why Bangalore can win their maiden title

1) New captain:

Bangalore have announced Faf du Plessis as their new skipper. The Proteas batter is a seasoned campaigner and is a very experienced captain. Leadership tends to get the best out of him. His temperament is something that can help the team do well during crunch situations.

Besides, he's been a veteran in the Indian T20 league as well. Another important point to be noted is the fact that he spent a lot of time with MS Dhoni during his time at Chennai. This would have helped him gain a better understanding of how one of the sharpest cricket brains functions during the toughest T20 league in the world.

2) World-class pacers:

Contrary to Bangalore's traditional trademark of not having a good pace attack, they have some fabulous seamers this time around. First thing's first, they decided to retain Mohammed Siraj, who has been really good in the recent past. He has significantly worked on his death bowling.

Bangalore also managed to buy Josh Hazlewood during the mega auction. The Aussie pacer has been in the form of his life and has been dominating international cricket across all three formats of the game. As far as his bowling in the shortest format of the game is concerned, he has now become a genuine wicket-taking option.

3) Reliable all-rounders:

Behind the success of a team, there is always an impactful all-rounder. Bangalore, on the other hand, have plenty. As Wanindu Hasaranga has been picking wickets for fun for Sri Lanka in T20Is, a lot is expected from him.

The bowling all-rounder can go on to be Bangalore's "X Factor". Besides, the franchise managed to buy back Harshal Patel, who was the MVP of 2021. When it comes to the batting all-rounders, they have Glenn Maxwell and Shahbaz Ahmed.

4) Experienced batters:

Seasoned campaigners always play crucial roles in winning a title. Bangalore have a lot of experienced players this time around. Be it Virat Kohli, Faf or even Maxwell, all of them have been playing international cricket for quite a while now.

Their starting XI shall see several international stars. These players have the tendency to perform under pressure. In the end, it's the ability to perform under pressure that helps a team win.

5) Aggressive finishers:

Bangalore have always had a vulnerable lower middle-order. They have been overly reliant on their top-order. However, they invested in a lot of middle-order batters for the upcoming edition.

While the likes of Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik have been playing the role of a finisher for a long time, the likes of Hasaranga and Patel can whack the ball as well. All of them can add the extra runs during the death overs. This will also help the top-order to play a little more freely.
