1) Brendon McCullum:

Brendon McCullum is arguably one of the best T20 players of all time. When it comes to the biggest T20 league in the world, the fans often associate him with teams like Kolkata, Chennai and even Gujarat. However, he represented the Kochi-based franchise as well. He was their opener. As a matter of fact, the Kiwi was their leading run-scorer with 357 runs in 2011. McCullum is now the coach of Kolkata franchise.

2) VVS Laxman:

VVS Laxman is arguably one of the greatest Test batters for India. However, the same can't be said about the shortest format of the game. Yet, he represented the now-defunct Deccan Chargers. In 2011, he played for the Jayawardene-led side. However, he struggled to make an impact. He is now serving as the head of National Cricket Academy.

3) Brad Hodge:

Brad Hodge has played several seasons for Rajasthan, and became synonymous with the franchise as well. However, he was a part of the Kerala-based franchise in 2011. In fact, he had the highest batting average by any Kochi batter in that edition, and was one of the few positives for the team in their first and final season.

4) Michael Klinger:

Michael Klinger has played for just one franchise in the Indian T20 league, and that's Kochi. In the four games in which he played, the Aussie scored 73 runs at an average of 18.25. Thus, he was below-par, and got dropped from the XI.

5) Kedar Jadhav:

Kedar Jadhav has played several games for India, and was a regular feature in international cricket for a bit as well. While he has played a lot for Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi, the middle-order batter was a part of this franchise as wll. Jadhav played six games for Kochi, but was only able to score 18 runs.
