Faf du Plessis reveals who is quickest on the field between Virat Kohli and himself 

Bangalore snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Rajasthan in the 13^th match of the Indian T20 league on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Bangalore bowled pretty well for the major chunk of the first innings.

They sent Sanju Samson and Padikkal back to the hut very early in their innings. However, Jos Buttler held firm at one end and Hetmyer gave him great company. Rajasthan eventually managed to score 169 runs at the end of the first innings.

Bangalore have a great depth in their batting and were expected to chase down the score. However, just after the power play, they lost four wickets in the space of three overs. The likes of Faf du Plessis (29), Virat Kohli (5), and Willey (0) got out without making a significant contribution with the bat. Bangalore, at one stage, had lost half of their side for just 87 runs in 12.3 overs.

However, what followed was a match-winning 67-run partnership between Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed. The duo counter-attacked and took the game away from Rajasthan. Shahbaz Ahmed scored 45 runs in 26 balls, while Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 44 off 23 balls to guide the team to a 4-wicket win in the end.

With that win, Bangalore have now registered 2 wins from their three matches. They are slated to play their next match against Mumbai on Saturday in Pune.

Meanwhile, in the post-match ceremony, Harsh Bhogle asked who is the fastest on the field in the Bangalore camp. To that, the Bangalore skipper came up with a hilarious answer. He mentioned Virat Kohli as the quickest but also added that he said that only to please India’s former captain’s fans. Here’s the video of that clip

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s has been enduring a lean run this season, which is a big concern for Bangalore. He, unfortunately, got run out in the last game against Rajasthan. In 3 matches, he has only managed to score 58 runs at an average of 29.
