The 13th game between Bangalore and Rajasthan was an absolute cracker of a contest. Both the teams were about superb and neither of them deserved to lose. However, Bangalore ended up on the winning side, and beat Rajasthan by four wickets. It is to be noted that this was the Sanju Samson-led side's first loss of this edition.

The pitch conditions acted as a catalyst towards the excitement. It wasn't the traditional batting paradise at the Wankhede, as the ball was gripping and turning this time around. Spinners from both sides were brilliant. During the first innings, Jos Buttler played a mature knock and read the conditions really well.
Post the dismissal of Devdutt Padikkal, the English batter and Shimron Hetmyer provided an excellent finish for their side, and ensured that Rajasthan got to 169. It was never going to be easy for Bangalore as Rajasthan's bowlers have been sensational in the Indian T20 league 2022 so far. However, a cluster of wickets from overs six to nine put them on the backfoot.
Things looked bleak for them until Dinesh Karthik resurrected their innings. He and Shahbaz Ahmed put up a superb partnership towards the end of the second innings. This resulted in them chasing the total with five balls to spare. Dinesh Karthik's unbeaten 44 off just 23 balls was praised by one and all. He went on to win the player of the match award as well.
