Coulter-Nile was part of the playing XI in Rajasthan’s first match against Hyderabad. However, he couldn’t complete his full quota of four overs as he was forced to leave the field due to an injury. The Australian seamer didn’t take the field thereafter and didn’t play in the following games as well.

Notably, the nature of the injury is still unknown. However, the franchise has confirmed that Nathan Coulter-Nile would no longer represent the team for the rest of the tournament.

“Until we meet again, NCN. 💗 Speedy recovery. 🤗” the Rajasthan-based franchise captioned while announcing the news on social media.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan are currently sitting at the top of the points table, having won two matches out of three played so far. They began their campaign with a morale-boosting win against Hyderabad. It was followed by a 23-run win over Mumbai to register their second consecutive win. However, Sanju Samson and Co. couldn’t continue their winning momentum as they lost their third match against Bangalore on Tuesday.

Riding on crucial contributions from Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer, Rajasthan managed to score 169 runs at the end of the first innings in that match. They bowled pretty well in the second innings and reduced Bangalore to 87 for 5 in 12.3 overs. However, a 67-run partnership between Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed took the game away from them.

Rajasthan are slated to play their next game against Lucknow on Sunday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai
