The modern-day great Virat Kohli was in action during the much-awaited clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 9 in which the five-time champions MI emerged victorious by 6 wickets and they’ve also avenged their previous loss as well.
Meanwhile, Kohli posted a picture of himself from a shoot on Twitter on May 10 and also wrote a caption on it that says, “The competition is all in your head. In reality, it’s always you vs you.” However, there were some fans who trolled the former Indian captain for getting out on just 1 run against MI. They have advised him to focus on the tournament rather than the brand shoots.

Meanwhile, talking about the match, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. After which, RCB scored 199 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. RCB's star allrounder Glenn Maxwell scored the highest 68 runs for the team. At the same time, skipper Faf du Plessis also played a quick knock of 65 runs, both also stitched a 120-run partnership for the 3rd wicket, which came off just 63 deliveries.
Brilliant chase by Mumbai Indians
Apart from this, Dinesh Karthik also came in at the end and scored 30 runs at a fast pace. Talking about Mumbai bowlers, Jason Behrendorff was the most successful bowler from Mumbai as he took 3 wickets for 36 runs. At the same time, Piyush Chawla, Cameron Green, and Chris Jordan also took 1-1 wickets.
Chasing a target of 200 runs in T20 cricket is not easy at all, however, seeing MI's batting, it did not seem at all that they had any kind of problem in chasing the target of 200 runs. They chased the target very easily in 16.3 overs and the hero of this run chase was Suryakumar Yadav, who scored a blistering 83 off 35 balls. Nehal Wadhera also played an amazing inning of 54 not out. Apart from this, Ishaan Kishan gave a good start to Mumbai by scoring a quick 42 runs in the beginning. On the other hand, Vijaykumar Vyshak and Wanindu Hasaranga took 2-2 wickets for RCB.
