Axar Patel, the star Indian allrounder, tied the knot with fiance Meha Patel on January 26, Thursday and during the ceremony, the southpaw came up with moves along with his wife, as the duo celebrated their wedding. Cheered by their friends and relatives, Patel was spotted dancing with his wife during the reception.

Fans, who took cognizance of the same, shared the video widely on the internet, making it go viral with many claiming that the southpaw has got ‘moves’. The Indian allrounder, who made his debut in 2014, became a regular part of the setup across all formats a couple of years ago and proved his prowess once again during the T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Patel’s best innings came against the Lankan Lions where he scored a gritty 65 off 31 balls when the Men in Blue were chasing a mammoth target of 208 runs in vain as it was Sri Lanka who came out on top in the end. Given that he is an all-format cricketer for team India, his presence would be pivotal for the team in the series against the Baggy Greens. 

Known for their ability to give a tough fight, the only option for team India to take a series win is by using spinners adequately, given the subcontinent soil is known for its dryness and spin. Patel’s contribution with the bat lower down the order and with the ball would be crucial for the Indian team in the tough series. 

After enjoying a great run with team India in 2022, Patel, having got off to a great start in 2023, would be hoping to extend his purple patch and make the best use of the opportunity, eventually making a cut to the 50-over World Cup squad. The tournament will take place in India later this year and it would be a milestone in his career if he manages to contribute.
