Wishes pour in for Rishabh Pant's recovery as batter meets with scary car accident (Image Source: Twitter)
Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicketkeeper, is going through one of the rough phases of all time and the batter met with a car accident in the early hours on December 30, Friday, in Delhi. Much to the dreariness of the cricket and Indian fans, images of his injury surfaced on the internet, leaving the entire country in shock.
The batter went through a bad phase with the bat in 2022 and one has to agree that it got worse, right at the end of the year, as the player was on his way to surprise his mother to celebrate the new year. To add more to the news, Pant’s BMW hit the divider at Narsan border and eventually caught fire. Leaving cricket aside, the Men in Blue batter was also facing issues on social media on the back of indirect allegations from Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela.
Wishes pour in for Rishabh Pant as batter fights injuries
Several reports claimed that the batter sustained severe injuries, however, was out of danger as the southpaw was not wearing a seatbelt and managed to come out of the car post breaking the glass. Fans, on the other hand, have been pouring in their wishes and prayers on social media hoping for the early recovery of the Indian batter.
To add more, the star Indian wicketkeeper was kept out of the ODI and T20I squad for the three-match series against Sri Lanka set to get underway on January 3. Several former cricketers and current-era players, including the likes of Sam Billings. It remains to be seen if he would make a comeback prior to the start of the 50-over World Cup set to take place in India later in 2023.
However, for now, the thoughts would be on his recovery and getting things right, before he gets padded up to feel the green surface once again. As of now, Pant is undergoing treatment at the Saksham hospital on Delhi Road and the fans are awaiting an official update on his health from the hospital.
As things stand, let us take a look at a few Twitter reactions to Pant’s injury:
