India's West Indies tour ended on a sour note as they lost the T20I series to the Men in Maroon 3-2. The Men in Blue's next assignment will be a three-match T20I series against Ireland. With a new squad of players in the mix, India will want to find out who steps up for the national side in Ireland. The last time India toured Ireland they won the series 2-0. It would be interesting to see how the series pans out this time.

For Ireland, it is a chance to show that they can dominate in home conditions. India will want to use the tour to not repeat the mistakes of what happened in the West Indies and start off on a clean slate in the build-up to T20 World Cup 2024. For Ireland, they will want to put up a show, unlike the last time. Here are five players to watch out for from both teams.

5. Harry Tector

Harry Tector was born in a cricketing family and has managed to establish himself in the Ireland senior side with runs under his belt in recent times. In T20Is, Tector has starred in 62 T20Is and scored 1029 runs at an average of 22.36 and at a strike rate of 122.06. He has hit three fifties in his T20I career. The right-hander has made his presence felt in ODIs as well where he hit 79 off 68 balls to help Ireland secure a famous win over South Africa. He also made an unbeaten 64 off 33 balls in a rain-shortened T20 against India at Malahide when India toured Ireland last time.

4. Josh Little

Josh Little has become a household name in India thanks to his Indian Premier League (IPL) stint in 2023 with the Gujarat Titans. In the 10 matches he played he picked up seven wickets for the side. Considering Indian batters have had their problems against left-arm pace, he would be a threat to India. Little has played 58 T20Is and picked up 68 wickets at a wonderful economy rate of 7.58. To his credit, he also has two four-wicket hauls in the shortest format for Ireland.

3. Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube has got a chance to make a statement for the all-rounder's slot in the Indian side. Though he has not set the ball rolling in T20Is, where he has scored 105 runs and picked up five wickets in 13 games, he earned a call-up based on the impactful knocks that he played for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 edition. In the 16 matches that he has played, he scored 418 runs with the highest score of 52.

2. Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar has come back into the Indian T20I side after recovering from an injury that he sustained in IPL 2023. Sundar has starred in 35 T20Is for India and scored 107 runs with the bat. He has also picked up 29 wickets with the ball. With him in the mix, it gives a left-handed batting option in the middle order and the man from Tamil Nadu can also bowl in the powerplay for India.

1.Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah will be leading the Indian side in the three-match T20I series in Ireland. The India pacer is coming back to international cricket after almost a year. If Bumrah has a good series without any fitness issues then it is a great sign for the Men in Blue. Bumrah has picked up 70 wickets in 60 T20Is at a superb economy rate of 6.62. He will want to make a statement in the series.
