The first round of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 is currently underway. Teams like Zimbabwe and Scotland have impressed one and all with their stellar performances.
However, both groups are currently wide open. All the teams except the United Arab Emirates have the chance to reach the Super 12s. Teams like Sri Lanka and West Indies suffered defeats in their first game but bounced back brilliantly in their next match.
The top two teams from both groups will progress to the Super 12s, while the rest of the teams will go back home.
The Super 12 stage of the tournament will start with a much-anticipated encounter between Australia and New Zealand on 22nd October 2022. India will kickstart their campaign against the arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, 23rd October 2022.

20-20 World Cup 2022: Prize Money
Earlier, last month, the Cricket Governing Body announced the prize money for the winning team in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The team that wins the competition will receive prize money of $1.6 million, while the runners-up will be getting half the amount.
The teams that lose in the semi-final will be receiving an amount of $4,00,000 each from the total prize pool. The eight teams who will be making a return from the Super 12s will get prize money of $70,000 each.
Teams will receive a prize money of $40,000 for winning each game in the competition. Besides, the four teams that be knocked out from the first round itself will receive $40,000 each.

20-20 World Cup 2022: Broadcast and Live Streaming details
Star Sports Network has bought the broadcasting right for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. All the matches will be broadcasted on Star Sports channels, while the live streaming will be available on Disney + Hostar.
In the United Kingdom, the matches will be telecasted on SkysSports Network. Fans in the United States of America can watch the games live on Willow TV and Sling TV.
In the host country Australia, Fox Sports has bought the broadcasting right. Fans can also stream the games live on Foxtel and Kayo.
