The Indian team took on Zimbabwe in the last super-12 encounter of their campaign in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first in the last super-12 assignment of the Indian team. Batting first, the Indians posted a total of 186 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Apart from that, the beginning of Sunday triple headers started with one of the biggest surprises of the World Cup. It all started with the upset with South Africa as they lost to the minnows like the Netherlands and got eliminated from the tournament. This upset was followed by Pakistan’s win against Bangladesh in a virtual quarter-final to secure their berth into the semis with having the second spot to their name. The day came to an end with India’s fourth win in the tournament out of the five matches they played so far.

KL scored 51 runs off 35 balls with three boundaries and three sixes to his name. Following KL's knock, the fans witnessed the iconic batting showpiece from the World's number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav. He smashed 61 runs off just 25 balls with six boundaries and four sixes to his name.

Followed by the amazing display from batters, Indian bowlers bundled up the batting lineup of the Zimbabweans only the score 115 runs in 17.2 overs. Eventually, India registered a comfortable win of 71 runs in their last super-12 appearance in the tournament.
