Meanwhile, when the match was in action, there came an update for the fans when Suryakumar Yadav surpassed the star Pakistan batter Mohammed Rizwan to become World’s number-one T20I batter. The 32-year-old Mumbai batter also scored quick 30 runs off 16 balls with four boundaries on credit.

He also stitched a crucial partnership of 38 runs with Virat Kohli for the third wicket in the middle overs of the match. Notably, the duo is known for its amazing amicability, and they happened to do the same on social media when Virat Posted pictures of winning moments on his Instagram handle. Kohli captioned the video as, “Character & Conviction.”

Making his way to the comment section, Suryakumar Yadav wrote, “Fire hai,” followed by a reply from the 32-year-old as, “Suryakumar bhau sabse upar #1,” which was a reference to the most recent achievement of Suryakumar Yadav in the T20 internationals.

Talking about the campaign of the Indian team in the tournament, they will now face Zimbabwe in the last match of their campaign in the eighth edition of the marquee tournament. India has won three matches out of the four they played so far in the tournament.
