The 16th edition of the Asia Cup came to an end on 17 September in Colombo as India defeated Sri Lanka to win this prestigious trophy for the record-breaking eighth time. But, there are some records in the ODI editions of this competition which are still intact and some of those made in this recently concluded edition only.

This southpaw batter from Pakistan tops the chart with a staggering average of 251 in three innings in the Asia Cup (ODIs). In those innings, Alam scored 251 runs, including two fifties and one century.

His best score of 114* runs came against Sri Lanka in the final of the 2014 Asia Cup. However, his knock went in vain as the Men in Green suffered a five-wicket loss. However, after that, he has yet to play any ODI edition of this competition.
