The first owner of ECW, Tod Gordon, has charged Paul Heyman with fabricating the organization's past. The true history of ECW will be revealed in Gordon's new book, "Tod is God," which will be released soon, he revealed in a recent episode of the Outdated Wrestling podcast.

After viewing Heyman's WWE DVD, which he alleges contains inaccurate material regarding ECW's past, Gordon made the decision to create the book. If Heyman's DVD hadn't been available, Gordon claimed he would have remained silent. In addition, he highlighted that, contrary to popular belief, Paul did not start ECW.

"You're gonna hear stories about drugs, sex, rock and roll, all that good stuff, and you're gonna hear some bad stuff too about people who were just dishonest. What really happened to Paul and I?" Gordon was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.

I would have stayed quiet for life if he hadn't done that DVD: Tod Gordon

Heyman has been appearing on WWE television since quite some time ago. He joined Roman Reigns' Bloodline faction in the year 2020 after deciding to support Reigns. Heyman is one of the most overacted performers on WWE TV right now and serves as the "special counsel" for The Tribal Chief. It would be interesting to know Heyman's thoughts on Tod Gordon's remark about him. Longtime ECW fans would love to get their hands on Gordon's book to hear his side of the story. Here's what Gordon said in addition, though.

"Long story short, it wasn't until Paul Heyman's DVD came out for WWE and I watched it and I said, 'You gotta be kidding me.' I've kept quiet for so many years. 30? 25? Whatever it is, he's out there still lying his a** off. I said, 'I can't take it anymore.' So I said, 'I got to tell the true stories.' Nobody's telling the true story. It had to be told finally. I would have stayed quiet for life if he hadn't done that DVD.” he said.
