Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) secured a commanding 25-run triumph over Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCB-W) in the seventh match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 on February 29th, held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With this impressive win, DC-W surpassed RCB-W on the WPL 2024 points table. The Capitals displayed an exceptional batting performance, posting the highest team total of the season with 194/5.

The openers Shafali Verma and Alice Capsey contributed significantly. During the final five overs, DC added 70 runs, aided by cameos from Marizanne Kapp and Jess Jonassen. RCB's Smriti Mandhana scored 74 runs in response, but despite promising starts from Sophie Devine and Sabbhineni Meghana, RCB struggled to form partnerships and ended at 169-9. This victory propelled DC to the top of the WPL 2024 points table. With this the tournament now stands at a very interesting stage as every team have won lost one game atleast. In addition to it, Apart from Gujarat Giants every team have played three games atleast.
