It is not often that we get to see a player hit a double ton in Test cricket. In such a scenario, India's young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal stunned the cricket world by smashing two back-to-back double hundreds. He became only the third Indian player, after Virat Kohli and Vinod Kambli, and sixth overall to achieve this massive feat.

The 22-year-old has played just seven Test matches and has already pocketed three centuries and two double centuries. He received a lot of praise from fans and cricket experts around the world, with many comparing him to the legends of the game. The southpaw notched up 209 in the second Test in Vizag and an unbeaten 214 in Rajkot in the third Test.

However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma restrained himself from praising the youngster as he believes it is important for the youngster to remain grounded and not get carried away.

"I've spoken a lot about him. I'm sure people outside the changing room have also been talking about him. I want to be calm about him, not talk a lot about him. He's started his career on a high," Rohit said at the post-match presentation ceremony after India's massive 434-run win over England in Rajkot.

He definitely is a sensational player: Gill lauds his teammate

Meanwhile, Gill shared a slightly different take on Jaiswal getting the limelight. The right-hander believes that there is no problem with youngsters being not humble and hinted that Rohit might directly praise him after the ongoing five-match series ends.

"I don't think there is a problem with youngsters being not humble. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored double tons in back to back match. You know, if you don't have it (talent) then you will not be scoring back-to-back double hundreds," Gill said.

"Not many in world cricket have scored back-to-back double hundreds. He definitely is a sensational player. We have seen it over eight or nine Tests. I dont think there is any conscious decision, maybe Rohit bhai did not want to talk about it at that point of time (not praising Jaiswal directly)," he added.
