Partnerships are beautiful, either in sports or in life. Every sport requires a partnership, be it cricket, football, hockey, basketball or racing. One such great partnership will come to an end later this year as Daniel Ricciardo, the Australian Formula 1 veteran, will part ways with McLaren one year early. The racer penned down an emotional message to inform the tough decision and advised his followers to wait for his future course of action.

The 33-year-old will part ways with McLaren after completing the last nine races of the year together and it will be one of the emotional moments for the veteran. One of the greatest moments for the Australian with McLaren came when he secured the first win for the team at Monza since 2012. The collaboration with fellow racer Lando Norris fared out to be well for him although the latter failed to match the supremacy of Ricciardo.

"It’s been a privilege to be a part of the McLaren Racing family for the last two seasons but following several months of discussions with Zak & Andreas we have decided to terminate my contract with the team early and agree to mutually part ways at the end of this season," the Australian was quoted as saying.

The Perth star said that he will announce his future course of action over time and did not regret working with McLaren. He agreed that it was emotional for him and said that he'll await what the future holds for him.

"I'll be announcing my own future plans in due course but regardless of what this next chapter brings, I have no regrets and am proud of the effort and work I gave McLaren, especially the win in Monza, last season. I’ve enjoyed working with everyone at McLaren both trackside and back in Woking and will be giving my all on and off track as we enjoy the remainder of the season together," he further added.
