Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Madrid teammate Karim Benzema has been touted to return to Europe. Three clubs are in fray to sign the 36-year-old French goal machine. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are three teams.

Chelsea FC are looking for a goalscorer after their newly acquired striker Nicolas Jackson hasn’t fired. It was believed that the youngster could display his old form and become a huge threat to the opposition. But so far this season, Jackson has hardly made his presence felt.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are currently on a downward spiral in the Premier League. The lack of strikers is hurting the Gunners. Ivan Toney has been constantly linked with Arsenal but the 27-year-old is just back from his sentencing due to gambling.

The third club in the fray are Manchester United who have had to face a paucity of goals this season. Rasmus Hojlund has just scored two goals in the Premier League this season. Antony Martial on the other hand hasn’t got going and has been frozen out of the team. With Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho playing on the wings, Erik Ten Hag would love to have Benzema in his side.

After the 5-2 loss to Al-Nassr, many Al-Ittihad fans decided to go after Benzema. The French player has already netted 15 goals this season for his club side. This episode has left a sore taste in the mouth of Karim Benzema. After going off the radar on social media, the Frenchman has decided to cut his Saudi career short and move back to Europe
