On 1 May 2023, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) took on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ongoing IPL. LSG won the reverse fixture at M Chinnaswamy, Bengaluru and they were all pumped up after winning that match. LSG mentor, Gautam Gambhir was seen shutting up the RCB crowd by putting his finger on his lips.

But, when RCB defeated LSG by 18 runs, Virat Kohli also came up with some aggressive celebrations throughout the game. He even got involved in a verbal spat with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir. Now, the franchise shared a video from the dressing room where Kohli was seen celebrating the victory. Mohammed Siraj was also seen but he came up with an absurd gesture. It seemed that he put his middle finger on his eyes and fans did not like it at all.

Speaking of the match, RCB batted first and scored 126 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. In reply, LSG got bundled out for 108 runs in 19.5 overs. Mohammed Siraj took the wicket of Kyle Mayers and conceded 24 runs in three overs. However, in that video, Virat Kohli was seen acknowledging the overwhelming support RCB received from the home crowd at Ekana Cricket Stadium despite being the away team.              

The former RCB skipper said: “It was a really important win on the road for us. The fact that we got more support than the home crowd is an unbelievable feeling. It tells you all about how much we liked as a team and how people come out and back us and it’s a very sweet win, feels very good for many reasons. But, more importantly for the kind of character we showed defending that total. I think everyone had the belief that we can do it and we ended up on the winning side which is great.”
