Following two consecutive losses in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan has finally registered their first win in the tournament against the Netherlands in the 29th match of the tournament. Star batter Mohammad Rizwan, who struggled a bit with the bat in the first two matches came back in his form and scored crucial 49 runs off 39 balls to cross the finishing line for his team.

Apart from Rizwan, speaking of skipper Babar Azam, then he is enduring a miserable run with the bat. The 28-year-old has scored only 8 runs in three innings with a horrible average of 2.6. Following his terrible form, Babar has fallen prey to criticism from the former cricketers and experts of the game.

Meanwhile former Indian spinner Amit Mishra took to Twitter to react to Babar’s lean patch.

‘This too shall pass. Stay strong,’ wrote Mishra in his tweet. Notably, these were the same words Babar used in favor of former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli during the latter’s poor run of form with the bat in international cricket.

Afridi was asked for his reaction to the situation where the Pakistani skipper wholeheartedly backed his Indian counterpart and Amit Mishra happened to make fun of that.

“The name you're taking, Amit Mishra, he has also played for India. Was he a spinner or a batsman?” asked Afridi in reply to the anchor.

Anchor confirmed that Mishra was a spinner followed by the reply from Afridi, “Don't worry. Let's move on. This too shall pass.”

Pakistan will now face Bangladesh and South Africa in the next two matches of their campaign in the tournament. Notably, they are ought to win both clashes to keep their hopes alive for the knockouts, above that, they’ll also have to pray for India’s defeat in their next two matches against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
