Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be in action on 5 May 2023 against the defending champion, Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing IPL. The match will take place at Jaipur and in the reverse fixture, RR already defeated GT at Ahmedabad. So, Sanju Samson and his men will look to do double over GT this season.

Now, ahead of the clash, RR shared a video on their Twitter account where Joe Root, Dhruv Jurel, and Devdutt Padikkal were seen playing a game named “This or That”. In that game, there were two options, and all of them needed to choose one of them. Among all the questions, one question was there whether they will love to play under MS Dhoni or Virat Kohili’s captaincy. In reply to that, all of them chose Dhoni over Kohli, and seeing that fans shared some funny views on social media.

However, seeing Devdutt Padikkal choosing Dhoni over Kohli was quite surprising for some fans as he had played under him during his playing days in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, both Padikkal and Jurel has played a lot of game so far this season. Jurel has scored 132 runs in eight matches, at a strike rate of 191.30. His short and impactful cameos have helped RR to score or chase big runs. Devdutt Padikkal has scored 194 runs in eight matches, at an average of 27.71.

However, Joe Root is yet to make his debut for RR. CSK have lost both games against RR this season. In the latest encounter, RR won the match by 32 runs and Jurel scored 34 runs from 15 balls, including three fours and two sixes. After the match, MS Dhoni praised him for his cameo and regarding that, during the post-match press conference, he said: “I’m fortunate enough to share the field with MS Dhoni. I have always dreamt of it. I don’t feel the pressure, I feel motivated. He’s behind me, he’s watching me, that’s enough for me.”
