On 3 May 2023, the Team India and CSK batter, Ruturaj Gaikwad tied his knot with Utkarsha Pawar in Mahabaleshwar. Notably, Utkarsha is also a cricketer also who played as an all-rounder for Maharashtra. Ruturaj shared adorable photos from the wedding on his Instagram account with the caption: “From the pitch to the altar, our journey begins!”

Fellow cricketers wished the newly married couple while his CSK teammate, Shivam Dube was present at the wedding. Seeing those images, fans congratulated them for a happily ever after in their lives. Speaking of Ruturaj, he played a crucial role once again for CSK in winning the recently concluded IPL.

He scored 590 runs in 16 matches, at an average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 147.50. In the final against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad, while chasing 171 runs in 15 overs, Gaikwad scored 26 runs off 16 balls, including three fours and one six. After that clash, he said: “This one was special, because of how it went last year for us. To come back in style, win away games, win in Chepauk, and the finish was unbelievable. We would like to dedicate this win to Rayudu.” It was the last match for the veteran CSK batter.

Utkarsha was there on the field to celebrate the final win with him. Images also went viral where both of them were seen getting clicked with the CSK skipper, MS Dhoni. Meanwhile, Gailwad withdrew himself from the stand-by list of players of Team India for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final for this wedding. Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal replace him and he is currently with the team in England. For the IPL, he delayed the wedding but some fans were shocked to see him withdrawing from the standby list of the WTC final just for the sake of the wedding.
