While the Men in Blue finished in the second spot with 58.80% in 18 matches. However, It will be the second consecutive WTC final for Team India. In the last cycle, they lost to New Zealand in the final. So, this time around, they will look to win this major final against the Aussies. But, the Aussies also will look to win it in their first attempt in the final.

What will happen if the match ends in a draw?

If the final ends in a draw, then the Test Mace will be shared by both teams. There is no such advantage for Australia for finishing the two-year cycle at the top with more percentage of wins over India. However, Rohit Sharma and his men are currently the number one-ranked side in the longest format of the game.

In the last WTC final, the game went onto the reserve day as rain washed off the first two days of play completely. So, this time also, a reserve day (12 June) is there if rain cause any problem on any of the five days of play. India have already reached England and are having intense practice sessions.

However, they are missing several players like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah due to injuries. In addition to that, players are coming off after a full IPL season for their respective franchises also. So, it is going to be a test for them to get used to the condition and the red-ball format as quickly as possible before the final clash. On the other hand, the maximum Australia players were not in the IPL. Hence, they are quite fresh and very eager to perform well against the Men in Blue. However, in the last four consecutive Test series, India have defeated the Aussies comprehensively.
