Gujarat Titans (GT) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 15 May 2023 in the ongoing IPL. GT were looking to get qualified for the playoffs by winning this clash while SRH were looking for a win to stay alive in the race for the playoffs. Aiden Markram won the toss and asked GT to bat first.

However, while batting first, GT scored 188 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Shubman Gill scored his maiden IPL ton as he smashed 101 runs off 58 balls, including 13 fours and one six. But, an image has gone viral from that inning where a cheerleader was seen dancing despite having her one hand broken.

Seeing that, fans shared some sympathy and hailed her for his dedication to her work. Speaking of the match, Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha came out to bat first. But, Saha scored a three-ball duck. Then, Gill and Sai Sudharsan put up a solid partnership of 147 runs for the second wicket. Sudharsan scored 47 runs off 36 balls, including six fours and one six. However, after that, no other batters failed to score big as GT scored 188 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Gill scored 101 runs off 58 balls and notched up his maiden IPL century.

However, in reply, GT bowlers were on song as SRH batters looked absolutely clueless. In the first six overs, they scored 45 runs for four wickets. Then, Mohit Sharma joined the party and picked up three wickets for 10 runs in two overs. Thus, SRH were struggling at 59 runs for seven wickets in nine overs. Mohammed Shami took three wickets for 17 runs in three overs. While Yash Dayal also made a good comeback to the playing XI as he picked up one wicket for 18 runs in his first two overs. In a must-win game for SRH, all batters were crumbling against the in-form GT bowlers.
