Discarded India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a hilarious dig at former India skipper Virat Kohli's bowling. The latter is currently on a break from the game and will join the team for the Asia Cup 2023, starting on August 30. Talking about Kohli's bowling, he has four wickets each to his name in 275 ODIs and 115 T20Is. The former India skipper is the only in the world to take his maiden T20I wicket on a zero ball.

Apparently, in a one-off T20I against England at home in 2011. Kevin Pietersen was stumped by MS Dhoni on Kohli's bowling. Not to forget, India skipper Rohit Sharma mentioned him and Virat bowling in the near future. The former said this during the squad for the Asia Cup 2023 was announced.

"All these guys are batters, they've scored runs and that is why they are part of the team. But hopefully Sharma and Kohli can roll some arm over in the World Cup,” the Indian skipper said.

Even chief selector Ajit Agarkar joined in fun, saying that he has convinced the duo to roll their arm over. Meanwhile, Kumar has said that the team get scared when the Delhi player starts bowling as he might get injured.

“Virat Kohli thinks he’s the best bowler in the team. We’re always scared when he bowls as he could get injured due to his bowling action,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar was quoted as saying by InsideSport.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar left out of the Asia Cup 2023

Meanwhile, not so surprisingly though, the Champions Trophy 2013 winner has been left out of the Asia Cup 2023 squad. He played his last ODI against South Africa in early last year. Apart from this, he played his last T20I against New Zealand last winter (November 2022).
