Recently, India's all-format skipper Rohit Sharma was missing in the images uploaded by the BCCI.  The Indian board had posted images of their players who reached England on their official Twitter account. The fans were understandably worried about Sharma's whereabouts. Also, the board hasn't given any official update on the right-hander's availability. Currently, he is on a rest from the game and is set to join the national team for the England tour.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old will leave for England on June 20 alongside head coach Rahul Dravid and another batch of players as reported by Sports Today. Currently, quite a few players who are part of the Test squad have already reached London. Players such as Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant will join their national team's skipper. The Test match will start from July 2 in Birmingham.

Notably, the team will be playing a four-day warm-up game from June 24 against Leicestershire. This game will serve as a preparation for the Test match and will help the team to acclimatize to the English conditions. However, it won't be easy for the World Number Two Test team to beat the Three Lions at home this time around.

The team is oozing with confidence after taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match Test series against New Zealand. This is their first Test series win since early last year when they beat Sri Lanka. The Ben Stokes-led side will play their last game of the New Zealand series in Leeds from June 23. Talking about their series with India, they are trailing by 1-2 in the five-match series.

The last game of the series was postponed after some members of the support staff of the visiting team. The game was then scheduled to played in the upcoming tour of the UK where both teams will play three T20Is and as many ODIs. The Rohit Sharma-led side will have an upper hand in the fifth Test, especially with the kind of bowling attack they have and Cheteshwar Pujara came to his form while playing County Cricket.
