India and South Africa are all set to lock horns with each other in the second of the three-match T20I series. But just a few hours ahead of the start of the match, the Indian camp is going through a major conundrum regarding the availability of skipper Rohit Sharma for the match.

The whole Indian team touched down at the Guwahati on Thursday but Rohit Sharma was missing and didn’t land with the team. Later on, he happened to miss the practice sessions of the team in the Barsapara Stadium of Guwahati. He was also not there in the compulsory presser ahead of the match. Head coach Rahul Dravid was the only individual who came to the press conference representing team India.

All this happened has also gives a rise to a few questions like where is Rohit. Will he be available to play the second T20I against South Africa? Is there any injury he has sustained?

Although, the arrival of Rohit Sharma on the late night of Saturday has put a full stop to these questions for a time being. A source close to the Indian camp has told the media that he couldn’t land with the team due to some personal reasons.

The same source also went on to confirm that everything is ok with the Indian skipper and veteran batter and he is completely available to play the match for the Indian team.

Talking about Rohit’s batting form, then he couldn’t perform up to the expectations in the first T20I against the visitors.

Indian team is currently leading the series with a margin of 1-0 after an emphatic win by eight wickets in the first match of the series. The men in blue will be eyeing to clinch the series with a consecutive win in the second T20I against Proteas. Notably, the ongoing T20I series is the last assignment for Rohit’s men in the shortest format of the game ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
