'We are doomed' - Fans unhappy with the sudden inclusion of Hasan Ali in the squad of Asia Cup

Pakistani team management has named Hasan Ali as the replacement for Mohammad Wasim who sustained an injury just ahead of the crucial clash against India. The men in green will face the Indians in their first match of the campaign in the Asia Cup 2022. Before the injury of Mohammad Wasim, Pakistan already faced a setback as Shaheen Afridi had been ruled out of the tournament due to the injury.

Wasim had an injury during the practice session in Pakistan a few days back on Wednesday. Later on, his scan reports confirmed the injury and the management took no time in replacing him with Hasan Ali in the squad. Hasan was practicing for a National T20 tournament that is commencing on the 30^th of August (Tuesday). He was practicing his bowling for the last three months at Pakistan’s National High-Performance Centre.

Although, the sudden inclusion of Hasan Ali didn’t go down well with the Pakistani fans. They started making funny memes and also criticized the skipper and management for picking him up for the continental tournament.

Hasan Ali might have to sit out of playing XI in the firs match against India

Notably, Hasan Ali has a slight image of a villain among Pakistani fans. Earlier, the fans went on to troll him brutally when he dropped a very important catch of Australian batter Matthew Wade in the deep. It all happened during the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021. It eventually resulted in the elimination of Pakistan from the tournament after a loss in the semi-final against the Aussies.

Although, there are very low chances that Hasan Ali will make it to the playing XI of Pakistan in the first game against India. The management can count on the young spinner Usman Qadir alongside two pacers including the likes of Haris Rauf and young lad Naseem Shah. If it will be about to pick the third pacer, then the Pakistani management is more assured to pick Mohammad Hasnain who has replaced the ace speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi.
