Coming back to cricket, then Virat Kohli couldn’t perform up to the expectations in the first T20I against the visitors. Although, he will be eyeing on to make a remarkable comeback in the second T20I of the series. He could score only three runs off nine balls in the first match for India.
Speaking of the series, then both teams will face each other in the three-match ODI series just after the conclusion of the T20I series. Apart from that, it is the last T20I assignment for India ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. In a major blow, the Indian camp is suffering from a conundrum due to the injury of the senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah was ruled out of the first T20I of the series as he complained of a stress fracture in the back part of the body. The management has already named Umran Malik and Mohammed Siraj on the reserve list for the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
Earlier, Rohit’s men played a three-match T20I series against Australia in which they won the series by a margin of 2-1.
