On 15 February 2023, Prithvi Shaw and his friend got attacked by eight people outside a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Shaw visited the hotel in Santacruz to have dinner with friends. But, there, he refused to take a selfie, and as a result, those accused people attacked the cricketer and his fan in his friend’s car.

Oshiwara Police have booked eight people. Among them, some names were Sana, Alias, Sapna Gill, and Shobhit Thakur. But, now the alleged girl claimed that the cricketer and his friends started the whole matter. A video has now gone viral where those girls and Prithvi Shaw were seen fighting on the road.

Speaking of the video, Prithvi Shaw was seen having an altercation with the girls. However, still, it is not fully clear what happened exactly. Journalist, Nandita Jha also shared the video with a caption: “A woman has alleged she was physically assaulted by Prithvi Shaw and her friends. Sana, alias, Sapna Gill, one of the 8 people booked by the Oshiwara Police in Mumbai, alleged Prithvi Shaw was carrying a stick in hand when he and his friends assaulted the woman.” 

Speaking of the reported incident, those accused people came for a selfie and Shaw gave them the selfie. But, the Mumbai batter refused when those people request for selfies for the second time. Still, those people were insisting, and hence, Shaw’s friend called the manager of the hotel and complained about them.  After that, the hotel manager asked them to get out of the hotel. However, that did not go well with those accused as they were waiting outside with baseball bats.

Then, they smashed the front and rear windows of the vehicle. Shaw’s friend, Yadav filed a complaint at Oshiwara Police Station. According to that report, police arrested eight of them as of now. A lady also demanded Rs 50, 000 and said that she will file false charges if the amount is not paid.
