One of the biggest T20 tournaments in the Indian domestic circuit, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is being played had a lot of renowned Indian players on the roster. Subsequently, Baroda locked horns with Saurashtra in an Elite Group D match at MPCA Holkar Cricket Stadium in the Indian city of Indore.

Saurashtra skipper Jaydev Unadkat won the toss and asked Baroda to bat first at the mixed turf of Holkar Stadium. But apart from the action of the match, it was something else that went viral on social media. It all happened when Baroda skipper Ambati Rayudu went on to involve in a heated exchange of words with Saurashtra batter Sheldon Jackson during the second innings of the match.

Umpires and other senior players had to intervene to calm things down at the moment. The video of this argument between Rayudu and Jackson has gone viral on social media within minutes of being shared. Fans have also come up with mixed reactions to the same.

Speaking of the match, Baroda posted a decent total of 175 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Mitesh Patel played a brilliant knock of 60 runs off just 35 balls with six boundaries and two sixes to his name alongside a 51-run knock from Vishnu Solanki. Skipper Rayudu fell prey to his Saurashtra counterpart Unadkat on a golden duck.

While chasing the target, number three batter Samarth Vyas smashed an amazing knock of 97 runs off 52 balls with five boundaries and nine maximums in his account. His knock helped Saurashtra to cross the line in 19.4 overs and score 178 runs for the loss of six wickets to win the match by four wickets. Samarth Vyas was also adjudged ‘player of the match for his match-defining knock in the favour of Saurashtra.
