Star Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw played a brilliant half-century knock to help his team register an easy and massive win by a margin of nine wickets over Mizoram. The 22-year-old scored 55 runs off just nine boundaries and a six to his name.

Although, this half-century from Prithvi Shaw has given another chance for the cricket fans for lashing out at the Indian cricket Board for ignoring the young talent and not giving him a chance in the national squad. They took to Twitter for expressing their angst over this ignorance from the administrative body of Indian cricket.

Here’s how fans reacted after Prithvi Shaw’s half-century:

Earlier, Shaw also accepted that it was very saddening and disappointing for him when he missed out on the squad during the recently concluded three-match ODI series against South Africa.

“I did not work on different things in my batting but did a lot of fitness work and worked on weight loss and reduced it by seven to eight kgs after the last IPL. I spent a lot of time in the gym, did a lot of running, and didn't consume any sweets or cold drinks. Chinese food is totally out of my menu now,” said Shaw in his statement.

The Indian selectors happened to pick a second-string squad in the absence of renowned players who already departed for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. After seeing that Shaw’s name was not on the squad for the ODI series, the Indian cricket fans were not happy with the attitude of the Indian selectors.
