An exciting match took place in Ahmedabad on 9 April 2023 when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took on Gujarat Titans (GT). KKR were looking to win their second game of the season and they managed to win it by three wickets. Rinku Singh won the Player of the Match award for his unbeaten knock of 48* runs off 21 balls.

Additionally, he hit five consecutive sixes in the last over and sealed the win for KKR. After that thrilling win, all KKR fans, staff, and other players were in a jubilant mood and celebrated the victory. Now, a video has gone viral where Shreyas Iyer was seen full of joy after the math-winning six from Rinku.

Rinku Singh hit one four and six sixes against GT

Speaking of the match, GT batted first and scored 204 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. While chasing 205 runs, KKR were in trouble when they needed 48 runs off 18 balls. Rinku Singh remained calm and in the last over, Kolkata needed 29 runs. Then, Rinku smashed five consecutive sixes and sealed the win for his franchise. It was an unreal moment for every KKR fan and Shreyas Iyer was one of them only. After such a victory, Venkatesh Iyer also hailed his teammate.

He said that Rinku Singh saved them today and this win would be a great moral booster for their team. Iyer said: "It was a nail-biting finish, extremely happy that we won the game. Our coach has always said that we can score 200 on any given day. Honestly, the wicket was quite good to bat. When the target is 200, you can't have silent overs. I was just trying to execute my plans. Me and Nitish had a good partnership. Unfortunately, somewhere we lost our way but Lord Rinku saved the day. To be honest, we still believed that we could win. This teaches us that we should never give up until the last ball."
